Excuse the delay, it was a late night last night, as the two of us went down to the BBC to be part of Rhod Gilbert’s audience for his next show.
Monday, a little bit of grammar practise this afternoon before the main work. That’s a nice warm up for the little grey cells… Never let it be said that I’m not willing to refresh the knowledge that s grown everyday and commonplace. Having to think about sentence structure instead of dashing it down without thinking, its good.
At the start of the afternoon, only one of the cousins was in the room, so its lovely and quiet and we can concentrate. 20 minutes in, the other dawdles in. Within 20 seconds of sitting down, out comes the Blackberry, like it’s the ONLY think in his life that is important to him. He’s like a kid with a new toy (or have I already said that?). Its stupid, he/they give the impression that he/they are attending out of duty as he/they already knows the stuff. It’s not as if they sneak the Blackberry out surreptitiously, it’s so bloody brazen!
Am I just being intolerant or should I cut them some slack? It’s so irritating to me that they don’t appear to have consideration for the course, the tutors or the rest of the course, plus its disrupts my concentration as well. They have til the end of the week, then I’m voicing my concerns to the tutors. I can’t be doing with those who don’t appear to try, I’ve more time for those who try hard but find the going tough.
At least I have the football to look forward to on Saturday, which will be good.
