Given my interest in WW2 and it’s predecessor, I suppose it’s a bit of a surprise I have never been to the Imperial War Museum. Today I’ve remedied that omission, as Alicia’s sister decided she would take her boys there and the rest of family joined in.
I can’t imagine why I haven’t been before, however I think there’ll HAVE to be a second or even third visit as there was so much to observe, ponder, consider and reflect on. In a couple of hours, I only covered one floor, thanks to all the thinking and reflecting I was doing, both on WW1 and 2.
I think everyone should visit the museum and spend their time considering the displays, and reflecting on them. It might make them realise that those who choose to write off history as irrelevant usually end up reliving the past in the future.
