Easter. A long break this year, with the Royal Wedding public holiday later. It seems the weather has caught the mood too, with temperatures in London about 25C since Monday and looking likely to last until Monday. I don’t really like this, ever since I came down with sunstroke as a child, in the long hot summers of 1975 and 76. I know these aren’t THAT high, temperature-wise, but its more than enough for me. Besides the garden could do with a good rain, it’s baked dry and cracking. I so much want to at least get some annuals in the ground, but if there’s no moisture to help them germinate, whats the point?
The holidays are dragging a little in that there is only so much revision for the exam that one can do without getting heartily sick of it. One thing I have noticed is that the further away from 2010 you go in the past papers, the more it changes, including stuff that is no longer in the syllabus, and this makes revision of this type less and less useful. I’m saving the most recent paper and the online practice paper till the week of the exam, as that will be of most benefit to me, I think.
I shall just get used to Alicia being at home, when she’ll restart after her weeks leave… Hmmm. Nice as it is, I think by the time Monday comes, she’ll be itching to go back, as she’s starting to get cabin fever! The bathroom has never been as clean, and now the bedroom is tidy, I wonder where it will all end.
PS Caroline. Yes, you. I’ll see you Sunday, and I’ll explain what this abbreviation means… UTT! Clue? It’s relevant to Easter Monday…
