One of my favourite places in Ealing is Horsenden Hill, a landmark rising to some 85 metres above sea level and the highest point in the borough. Around it, there’s small meadows (with cows in the summer!), woodlands – which always strike a chord somewhere inside me – and a wonderful view across West London from the summit.
It’s a place I like to go for some space and some peace. There’s something about the hill that persuades me I’m back in the hills of my home county of Yorkshire, and so I keep being drawn back to it.
