Seeing as how I start work again on Monday next, the weather has contrived to become warm and sunny. Perfect for me to say goodbye to the old world and re-enter the working world again, it makes it feel like the start of say, a new college term after a summer break. Just perfect really. Mind you, 28C in late September and early October is going a bit far, mind you, but it looks like it will last until well after the weekend, which isn’t bad for the atmospheric setup at the moment.
One benefit – if you can call it that – of the last 6 months or so, is that I’ve lost some of the weight I’d been carrying. Alas, not through any diet plan, just eating less, as there was less to eat. No crisps mainly, which I just cannot resist. Most foods I can take or leave, but crisps just do something in my head and I would eat them every day if I could. Problem is, when November comes around, I’ll be able to buy all the crisps I want…It’s going to be hard to resist, especially as now Alicia can’t have them for health reasons.
The new title for the blog reflects the change in circumstances, in that there was no call for Old Rob the student; the title now roughly translates as “At the end of the day…” which is nicely mundane to suit me now. Hopefully, I’ll be able to update this virtual archive of mundanicity a little more often that I have been. Don’t expect stories of events in the office in which I’ll be working, that ain’t happening! Might get more football club stories, mind you, and silly events etc., can you handle that?
