With two days to go of my final week in Monitoring, there’s much for me to ponder on. It’s been a very interesting year, going from junior member of the team in November, completing my probation in January to being senior member in February! I’ve seen the monitoring team expand from 3 to 5, with changing procedures from top to bottom, all the way through to the final report at the end of the month. I’m quite pleased about being a part of that, helping to make the department credible.
I’m also thinking about everyone who’s been in the department, and everyone there now. The team as it consists at the moment is exactly that, a team. Everyone has their part to play, contributions to make, jokes to pull.
The world will seem stranger next week as I start ‘across the road’ and although I’m looking forward to the new challenges, I shall miss the team and being part of it. Over the last few years I’ve been in positions that have had a woman manager, which I always respond to positively, to now working for such a character as my Hampton colleague Stef, well that’ll be interesting! Plus being in close proximity to the CEO as well will add something on the days he’s in…
There’s a lot going on!
